Letter of Invitation
The congress organisation will be pleased to send a formal letter of invitation to delegates requesting an invitation letter for visa purposes. It is understood that such an invitation is intended to help potential delegates to raise funds or to obtain a visa. This does not imply a commitment from the congress to provide any financial support.
Letters of invitation may be requested from the congress office no later than 25 April 2011.
The invitation letters will be sent by regular air mail. In case an express delivery is needed, the delegate shall order a courier at his/her expense.
Visa
The entry formalities and vaccination requirements for the Federal Republic of Germany vary according to the country of origin. For specific information, congress delegates are asked to contact their local travel agent or the German Consulate in the home country. Insurance
Please notice that the congress fee does not include insurance.
All participants should arrange for their own insurance. Health and accident insurance is strongly recommended and will need to be purchased in the country of origin.
Currency
Payments will be accepted in EURO.
Climate
Berlin’s climate is usually mild during late summer. In September, the average temperature is between 11°C and 20°C during the day. Rain is quite possible.
Travel to Berlin
Berlin is easily accessible by airplane, railroad and car. Congress participants arriving at one of the two international airports, Berlin-Tegel or Berlin-Schönefeld, can reach the congress venue Technische Universität Berlin or the city centre easily. Both airports are linked to the public transportation system. Germany and Berlin have an extensive rail network with Euro-City, Inter-City and Inter-City Express trains. An excellent motorway network links Berlin with all major German and European cities.
